Hey there, long time no see! I’ve been rather busy this summer (also known as video games and procrastination), so I’d like to remind the few hundred readers I get from Google searches about GNOME that I am still alive and well. I’m planning a couple new updates, including a review of “Weird Al” Yankovic’s new album, a review of Neon Genesis Evangelion (I finally got around to watching it) and other interesting things that I think of. I’ll definitely get those two articles in before the end of the month, and expect more to follow!
By the way, as the title of this post says, I now have a Google+ account! If you have one, add me to your circles so you can get random updates on my life and interests, as well as blag updates (I’d personally prefer RSS for blag updates, though). If enough of the people I follow switch over to Google+, I might as well quit the Twitter/Facebook business, but I’d most likely keep Identi.ca because of the geek culture that surrounds it. See you next update!
Thanks everyone that browsed my blag! I love you all :D!
I’ve decided to give my blag a makeover, and changed the background. The background is “Spaceflare” from GNOME 3’s default background selection, which I’ve blogged about a few times before. I hope it brightens my blag up a notch and makes it more enjoyable to read!
I moved my blag from self-hosting to WordPress.com today, mostly because I can’t support a server 24 hours each day. I also changed the theme and general look of things as well. Thanks for reading and enjoy my blag :)!
This blog runs from my desktop because I don’t exactly get a lot of traffic. I’m thinking of upgrading to something that doesn’t need to be shut off for 12 hours each night (like a Dream Plug, or some kind of web hosting). As I was browsing around the various services to host WordPress with, something caught my eye:
Hmm… I wonder if I should pick them… 😛
Joking aside I’ve heard good things about a lot of different places. What host should I choose, if any?
Sometimes, moral content can make or break a work. If you watch a violent movie with lots of action, but the morals are a little questionable, the experience could be pretty shallow in the end (if you aren’t easily entertained, that is). In my reviews from now on I will be including a “moral concerns” section which gives a detailed overview of the possible concerns that I’ve noticed with the work that either enhance or detract from the overall experience with the work, why, and how it could affect you. At the end of the moral content section, I will say the “overall maturity level”, which is a fancy way of saying “the general age that I think this work is appropriate for”. Below it I will also state why I gave it that rating. I hope that this enhances my reviews for all of my (incredibly miniscule number of) readers!
Hey! This is my first blag post on here. This here blag (err, blog, whatever) is hosted on my desktop, so this is pretty new for me. I’ll be sure to update this with things worth reading in the future!
…Oh, and my blag will only be online as long as my computer is, which is usually 9 AM to 10-11 PM Central Time (GMT-6).
